Project integration
With any project it is vitally important that your flooring finish is sympathetic to the overall scheme of the space.
With over 20 years experience in interior design our interior consultant with be able to advise on the best flooring treatment with respect to top coat finish, tinting, staining and layout that will compliment your project.
We also offer colour consultancy, furniture layout advice at an hourly consultancy rate.

Carpet Removal
The first step to getting the new flooring treatment you want, often starts with removing the current carpet. This can be back-breaking work in a large home or business, plus messy and time consuming, especially if the carpet is glued down. At Hamilton Hard Floors we offer a carpet removal service . Our professional team will quickly and effortlessly remove and dispose old carpeting to clear your project to prepare it for your new flooring finish. This service will be quoted as a fixed rate

Floor Preparation
Once the carpet is removed, it is time to get to work. At Hamilton Hard Floors we will repair any damaged flooring matching the timber to the existing. Nail punching and filling, gap filling and sanding with America Sanders equipment will create a blank canvas for your chosen finish.
We will extend the preparation to staircases and into cupboards as required.
Using an 3000 W vacuum extraction unit will ensure that all airborne dust is contained, and a final dusting and vacuuming will ensure that no contaminants will blemish the finish.

Limewash, Stains and Coatings
If you require a finish that is unique, Hamilton Hard Floors offer to limewash or stain your floors before topcoating. We have sample sample range of the common flooring timbers with the various lime washing staining and top coat finishes (water based, polyurethane and waxes, to make your decision easier and match the appropriate finish to your project.
As each timber is different and the absorption and flooding rate will vary, we will assist in lime washing or staining a test patch or area so that you can visualize the final finish before committing to a complete floor space.
The test patch will be re-sanded prior to applying the chosen lime wash or stain

To ensure the longevity and durability of your flooring finish, we will recommend the most appropriate maintenance and aftercare products.
